Sarah and Brice met at Sewanee: The University of the South, a small liberal arts college nestled in the foothills of the Cumberland Plateau in Tennessee. They quickly bonded over their shared love of wine and travel, and after graduation, they decided to move to Paso Robles, California, to pursue their dream of becoming winemakers.
Starting a winery from scratch is no easy task, but Sarah and Brice were determined to succeed. They worked hard and learned everything they could about the winemaking process. Within a few years, they had established Serrano Wine as a respected brand, producing high-quality wines that appealed to both established wine drinkers and younger millennials.
After seven successful years in Paso Robles, Sarah and Brice decided to expand their brand to the Texas Hill Country. They were drawn to the region’s warm climate, fertile soil, and thriving wine scene. In 2023, they purchased 10 acres of land in Hye, Texas, and began planning their dream winery and tasting room.
