French Connection Wines is a new family-owned and operated winery in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Founded in December 2018 by Ben Calais, Victoria Calais, Sheri Pattillo, and Pat Pattillo, the winery is dedicated to producing high-quality Rhône-style wines from Texas grapes.

The idea behind French Connection wines was to create a home for the Rhône-style wines of Calais Winery. When this beautiful property became available, Ben, Victoria, Sheri, and Pat toasted at the property on a chilly December day in 2018, and French Connection Wines came to life!

Benjamin Calais is a French-trained winemaker who brings his passion and expertise to the craft of winemaking. He believes that the best wines are made from the highest quality fruit, so he works closely with Texas grape growers to ensure that he has the best possible grapes for his wines.

Victoria Calais, Ben’s wife and business partner, is responsible for managing the winery’s tasting room and events. Sheri and Pat Pattillo are co-owners. Sheri is responsible for the winery’s marketing and sales, while Pat helps with events and winery operations.

French Connection Wines offers a variety of wine tasting experiences, including a Cave Tasting and a Rhône-Style Tasting. The Cave Tasting is an intimate experience that takes place in the winery’s underground wine cellar. The Rhône-Style Tasting is a more in-depth experience that focuses on the winery’s Rhône-style wines.
